Jeanine & T.J.; Bedell Cellars, The North Fork

T.J. fixes hot rods for a living, so it was no surprise that he had a few of them at the Harborfront Inn in Greenport, where he and Jeanine got ready! TAS videographer, Spencer, went along for a ride which is what we open up the highlight video with.  The couple headed down the road a bit after getting ready to Bedell Cellars, where they locked eyes (teary, red ones on T.J.) for the first time as Jeanine came down the aisle. After that it was all smiles as the couple danced, drank, ate and laughed through a night they will never forget! We used a special piece of equipment called a jib for the first time on this shoot, which gives the camera the ability to go high and low in one sweeping movement. If you like the look of a jib or a crane for your NYC wedding video, please talk to us and we will go over the options!

Tim Alan Smith in Well Wed Blog

Tim Alan Smith was recently featured in WellWed Magazine's blog with our wedding coverage of Stefanie and David's wedding at Raphael Vineyards in the North Fork! We worked with one of our favorite photographers, Mark Kopko of Kopko Images, whose amazing shots can also be seen in this article!

Cat & Rick; Trump Soho, NYC

The views at Trump Soho in NYC were breathtaking! What an amazing space for a wedding ceremony
and Cat and Rick were surrounded by family and friends on the top floor of the famed hotel with views of Manhattan from all angles! After exchanging vows, the couple headed downstairs for cocktail hour and a night of fun! Check out the video below to see some of the highlights!

Lisa and Rob, The Chateau at Coindre Hall

I was happy to see Lisa pulled my friend Jay Marist out of wedding photography retirement to shoot her very fun and occasionally tissue-inducing wedding! Lisa and Rob got married at the Chateau at Coindre Hall in Huntington and the day was one they won't soon forget! Who says death is always a bad thing? Lisa and Rob met at a funeral! Enjoy the clip!

Engaged! Tim to tie the knot!

Well, it had to happen sooner or later! When you work in the wedding industry long enough, it's only a matter of time before it's time to plan your own wedding! Well, that time is here. I recently proposed to my girlfriend Kristin, on a bridge near the central park reservoir.  It was fantastic night complete with champagne, a limousine ride around the city, dinner at the Gramercy Tavern and a night at the Palace Hotel.  All and all, a night to remember with the most important part being that Kristin said yes! Of course I had photo and video of the event, with friends Jay, Geoff and Kate hiding in the bushes to document for me.  Above are a few photos from Jay.

Andrew & Marcela; The Prince George Ballroom; NYC

Andrew & Marcela got married in a traditional Jewish ceremony at the Prince George Ballroom in NYC, and Tim Alan Smith was happy to be there to capture it! Check out the video below to see a short highlight of the day!

Julie & Jason; Church of the Blessed Sacrament and The Central Park Boathouse

Check out Julie and Jason's wedding at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament and the Central Park Boathouse, two great spaces for NYC weddings! We also worked with one of our favorite NYC Photographers, Gulnara of Gulnara Images! She always does amazing work and is so fun to work with! Enjoy the video below.

Michelle & Matthew; St. Ann Church and One Newark Center

Michelle and Matthew had amazing wedding day at St. Ann's Church in Hoboken followed by the party at One Newark Center. Tim Alan Smith was happy to be there to document it!  We mainly film weddings in NYC but also travel to film weddings in NJ, CT and around the world! Enjoy this one below!

Jessica & Steven; The Ritz Carlton Westchester

Tim Alan Smith has filmed at the Ritz Carlton in Westchester a few times now, and every time it seems like the perfect place for a wedding!  Jessica and Steven had their ceremony at St. John the Evangelist in White Plains before heading back to the Ritz for a night of partying! We were happy to work with one of our favorite photographers- Rich Janniello of Ciro Photography, who captured the day with his typical skill and artistry.

Howard & Bronywyn, Vineyard Caterers, The North Fork Wine Country

It's always nice to be able to attend a wedding as a guest, and this one such case for me! I sent my team to film friends Howard and Bronwyn, as they tied the knot in front of friends and family in an intimate setting at Vineyard Caterers in Aquebogue, NY.  One of our favorite photographers, Mark Kopko of Kopko Images, was there to capture all the images on film.  Watch the video closely and you might see me in a shot or two! (Hint- my date has red hair!)  Enjoy!

Jessica & Eric; The Downtown Association

What a cool space for a wedding! We have never been to the Downtown Association before and were very impressed with the layout for Jessica & Eric's wedding.  They started with the Ketubah signing in a side room before the ceremony in another room with beautiful lighting for the solemn event. The guests were then taken to the cocktail hour, dinner and and night of dancing and fun!  Tim Alan Smith especially enjoyed the night as we filmed with one of our favorite NYC photographers, Rich Janniello, of Ciro Photography! It's always great to work with someone you know and who knows you so that the wedding day and photos/video flow smoothly! Enjoy the video below!

Adele & Paul; The Park Savoy

We get our clients through many different channels including many referrals, some advertising, the occasional person who finds the blog etc. etc. Adele and Paul, however, were probably one of the more unique connections we have made over the years.  I actually met Adele while walking my dog last winter! It turns out we live in the same apartment in Manhattan and I had filmed at her location- the Park Savoy- a few years back.  One thing led to another and she ended up hiring us and we were there to film the day! Here is amazing video clip we put together from their super-fun wedding!

Knot Industry Gala NYC

Tim Alan Smith spent an evening catching up with other NYC Industry Pros at the Knot Industry Gala at the New York Public Library last month. (The New York Public Library, FYI, is a great space for a NYC wedding if you are looking!)  It was a night for all in the industry to catch up and let loose as the music, wine and food flowed throughout the great evening.  It was also great as Tim Alan Smith was named one of the Knot's Best of for 2012 earlier in the year, which is always such as great honor!

Tim Alan Smith Films in Mexico

As much as we love filming NYC weddings, it's nice once in a while to have a destination wedding. We recently filmed Joseph & Antoinette's wedding in Mexico with Catherine Leonard Photography also making the trip!  What a great weekend for all involved! Check out the highlight video below to see!

November 11, 2012

Justena & Slate; Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club

Justena & Slater met on an Aspen ski trip one winter day and tied the knot in the Hamptons
on a gorgeous fall day, at the Dune Church in Southampton. Next it was off to cocktails on the beach before a reception at the Bridgehampton Tennis & Surf Club for a beautiful wedding by the sea! We worked with excellent NYC photographer, Tim Lee, who made the most of both locations, getting great shots of the handsome groom and beautiful bride.

Allyson & Arlen, The Central Park Boathouse and St. Ignatius Loyola

Two Saturdays in a row, Tim Alan Smith Videography found ourselves filming a NYC wedding at St. Ignatius Loyola on the upper east side! One of NYC's best Catholic churches happens to also be a few blocks from my apartment, which is nice!

We started the day filming Allyson and her wedding party getting ready at the penthouse suite at the Carlyle Hotel.  This is probably the nicest and overall best space I have seen for a Manhattan bridal sutie as far as space, views and overall comfort.  It was also great for us to get video and photos and have plenty of space to spread out! Laura from Weddings by Two was there to capture the day along with Tim Alan Smith.

After the ceremony, the couple headed to central park then back to the Carlyle for some photos before an afternoon and evening of wedding fun at the Central Park Boathouse.  One of the highlights was seeing the couple come in across the lake on a gondola, arriving to the applause of their waiting guests! What a great moment for video and start to an evening that won't soon be forgotten!

Kelly & Ed; St. Ignatius Loyola & The Park

I have to say, I've never filmed a wedding where the brother of the groom was the priest but there is always a first for everything! I've also never filmed a wedding where the priest got ready in the hotel room (Setai Hotel in this case!) with the groomsmen, also the case here!

Father Lachlan Cameron did an excellent job coordinating the wedding of his older brother Ed and sister-in-law Kelly at NYC's famed St. Ignatius Loyola Church on the upper east side.  After the emotional and beautiful ceremony, the couple headed to central park for photos before even more photos at The Highline with my friend Rich Janiello, an amazing photographer.

We even had time to stop at the couple's wedding-night hotel- The SoHo House-  for some more photos by Ciro Photography before a night of fun at the Park NYC!

Michael & Kristie; St. Patrick's Cathedral & The Liberty House

We always love filming at St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC, but it can prove to be a challenge with all it's rules and restrictions! It's a good thing we really know what we're doing and were able to get great shots of Mike and Kristie as well as them getting ready at the Hyatt at Grand Central. After the ceremony, the couple took photos with TAS favorite 4 Eyes Photography, before everyone headed to NJ for a night of revelry at the Liberty House!

Stefanie & David; Raphael Vineyards, The North Fork

We LOVE filming weddings in the North Fork and it's near 50 vineyards.  Stefanie and David happened to pick one of our favorites, Raphael Vineyards, where the beautiful space proved the perfect backdrop for a wedding.  Our friend Mark Kopko, one of the North Fork's best wedding photographers, was there to capture the day as well! Enjoy the recap below!

Chris & Andrew; Angel Orensanz Foundation

We LOVE filming weddings at the Angel Orensanz Foundation and were happy to be there to film the big day of Chris and Andrew! It also happened to be our first same-sex legal wedding in NYC so we were doubly happy to be there! Check out the fun below in the TAS Signature recap! We especially loved the opera singer and the impromptu performance by their friends who did an off-off broadway performance for them!

Kristin & Eric's Wedding, Giando on the Water; Brookly

Breathtaking views of Manhattan. Check.  Amazing outdoor space for a wedding. Check.  Delicious food and great service. Check.  Kristin & Eric picked Giando on the Water for their wedding and Tim Alan Smith was shocked that we had never filmed a wedding there before! What a great space! A bonus for us was working with one of our absolute favorite NYC photographers, Dan Loh, who photographs weddings all throughout New York and New Jersey with the skill and artistry that can't be matched. Dan Loh Photography should be one of your first calls when getting married! Another bonus was running into Tim and Kerrie, whose wedding we had filmed the year before at the Bryant Park Grill.

Shawn & Laurrell; Central Park and the Manhattan Penthouse

Shawn REALLY wanted to get married in central park, and found the perfect place to exchange vows with fiance Laurrell, in the Conservatory Garden.  With water for all their guests and seats for the few that really needed them, the ceremony was beautiful and intimate, with only their closest family and friends gathered around.  After the vows, the couple stayed for photos and then headed the Manhattan Penthouse in Union Square, a place where TAS films often, for an afternoon brunch party not soon to be forgotten!

When Vabs and Yuko came in to meet me, they came on the behest of Tim Ryan Smith (yes, that's his name!), their photographer.  Well, Vabs also realized that his cousin Tanya's wedding video happened to be featured on our main page, so that helped make the decision really easy for them! The couple got married at the Greens at Half Hollow in Long Island, with a quick ceremony but not short on emotion, as the couple shared a few intimate words in front of their closest family and friends.  Check out the Tim Alan Smith recap below, of yet another great NYC wedding video we were able to create!

Diana & Ho-Kin, Pier 60; NYC

We have filmed countless corporate events at Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers over the years, but never a wedding. We were very excited to be there for Diana & Ho-Kin's wedding day and got some amazing images of the very fun, happy day. Enjoy!

Charlie & Sarah, East Hampton; The Jewish Center of the Hamptons & the Rose Estate

Charlie and Sarah had an incredible wedding day in the Hamptons, just feet from the beach, at the Estate of the Rose family with the ceremony at the Jewish Center of the Hamptons. The Jewish Center was very unique as far as temples go, with much open space as well as skylights and many windows.  This made for a very light, airy ceremony with gorgeous light for us to use.  The temple is rarely used for weddings so it was a rare treat to be able to film in such a unique space.  The day was planned so well by Kim Pilson of the Wedding Sitter, a day-of-planning specialist.  The food was amazing as always, prepared by our favorite caterers, Robbins Wolfe.  Click below to watch the TAS Signature recap of the fantastic day!

Jose & Hila; Nassau Museum of Art

Jose & Hila got married on a VERY hot day in June but that didn't stop this cool couple from having
an amazing wedding at the Nassau Art Museum!  The ceremony in the garden was beautiful followed by cocktails on the lawn of the museum with views for miles! Inside, the couple had fun all night and enjoyed the amazing food provided by Robbins Wolfe Catering! Check out the fun below via the Tim Alan Smith Signature Recap, our way of capturing some of NYC's best wedding videos!

Keith & Alissa; Buttermilk Falls Inn, Milton, NY

Sometimes we have to fill up our gas tanks and travel far from the comfy confines of Manhattan to film our client's big days!  Keith and Alissa decided that the place that best suited them to get married was Buttermilk Falls, nearly two hours north of Manhattan. The quaint and beautiful spot proved to be the perfect spot for the couple to exchange vows and party with friends.  Check out the TAS signature recap of the day below! The wedding at Buttermilk Falls Inn was photographed by a Tim Alan Smith favorite, Cappy Hotchkiss, who does amazing wedding work!

Curtis Granderson of the New York Yankees!

Sometimes we do other work besides weddings, such as filming the charity event of Yankee Center fielder Curtis Granderson! Check out the sizzle reel below!

Carolyn & Don; Angel Orensanz, NYC

Carolyn and Don had a first look on the beautiful rooftop of the Standard Hotel, before heading over to Angel Orensanz for a night of revelry! Tim Alan Smith has become a regular filming weddings at Angel Orensanz, with three in two months! Enjoy the recap below!

Henry & Raquel; The New York Botanical Garden & Church of the Incarnation

Henry & Raquel's love is a true story of love and endurance, meeting in the 2nd grade and getting married nearly 30 years later!  Henry actually proposed in the 2nd grade classroom where they first laid eyes on one another, the day she moved in as a transfer student!

The couple got ready in their childhood apartments, only blocks apart, before a ceremony at the beautiful Church of the Incarnation in Washington Heights.  After that, Henry and Raquel sped off in the Porsche rented for the day to their reception at the New York Botanic Garden.  Of course there were photos and video in the gardens before the couple headed inside for a night of partying as well as tear-wiping moments recollecting their years together.  Below is the Tim Alan Smith recap of the day!

Sanjib & Kranti: Westin Forrestal Village & Rasoi III

Sanjib and Kranti wanted to spread out the celebration of their traditional indian wedding ceremony held in New Jersey by having the ceremony in April followed by the party in June. Talk about keeping the party going! The ceremony was held outside at Rasoi III in Monmouth Junction, NJ while the reception was at the Westin Forrestal Village in Princeton. Check out Tim Alan Smith's coverage of the epic event, with our one-song recap of the two-day event!

Christie & Anthony, St. Benedict's Church & Marina Del Rey

Christie & Anthony met when they were in their teens and the relationship endured for nearly 15 years before deciding it was time to get married! The couple got married at St. Benedict's Church in the Bronx followed by Marina Del Rey, with it's amazing views! Enjoy the recap below of this VERY fun day!

Holly & Mikey. The Glen Island Harbour Club

There are plenty of great views to be had if you are getting married at the Glen Island Harbour Club in New Rochelle.  Surrounded by water and nature's beauty, and spot in the Harbour Club will leave you or your guests with jaw-dropping views! Holly and Mikey had a Jewish wedding ceremony under the Chuppah with views through floor-to-ceiling windows that surrounded them! What an amazing day and fun wedding, complete with Russian music and dancing as well as an impromptu performance of Fiddler on the Roof! Tim Alan Smith was there to film it all and create the fun recap below!

Simon and Christina, The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens

Simon and Christina fell in love over Macarons, opening the delectable Macaron Parlour based in Brooklyn. Of course the food was great at their wedding at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, including a wide assortment of macarons that the Botanic Garden (a regular client of theirs) had laid out before and after the ceremony! If you are planning a wedding, consider macarons as a unique and delicious treat for your guests or simply a nice favor to take home in a stylishly adorned box!

The couple started their day with a short Korean ceremony at their hotel in Manhattan before heading over to Brooklyn for an outdoor wedding ceremony amongst the cherry blossoms! What an amazing site that was to the cherry blossoms floating in the air as the couple exchanged vows amongst their closest family and friends!  After that, it was dancing in the Palm House until the DJ played his last song!

Joe and Barbara, The Pierre and St. Ignatius Loyola

Joe and Barbara got married on a beautiful May day in NYC, starting with the ceremony at the glorious St. Ignatius Loyola Church on the upper east side of Manhattan.  Tim Alan Smith has filmed weddings at both the Pierre and St. Ignatius Loyola, but this year we really seem to be the regular videographer at St. Ignatius! With all the rules they have there for photo and video, it's good to hire someone who knows how best to maximize given the many filming restraints!  It's a beautiful space, as is the Pierre, and the couple had an amazing day! One of the highlights was the time spent in the park with Tim Alan Smith and Kellie & Rupert of 4 Eyes Photography, one of NYC's best photo tandems!

Christine & Inoki; Tappan Hill and Fordham Chapel

Two of the many places Tim Alan Smith has shot weddings before are Tappan Hill Mansion and the Fordham Chapel.  We had never filmed them on the same day before but for Inoki and Christine, that's just what we did! We actually started the day at the Marriott in Tarrytown to catch the couple getting ready before heading to Fordham in the Bronx, where Inoki spent his college days.  The beautiful chapel is quite a space for a wedding and the couple kept it together during the emotional ceremony before heading back to Tarrytown for a night of fun at Tappan Hill! Photographer Rich Janiello of Ciro Photography is one of our favorites, and also a Fordham alum!

Our wedding videos of NYC and the surrounding areas are a great source for the bride-to-be, so check them out if you are still deciding on a location!

Lauren & Michael, The Rockleigh Country Club

Lauren followed in her sister's footsteps and got married at the lovely Rockleigh Country Club in New Jersey, and Tim Alan Smith videography was once again there to film it! We had filmed sister Jenny's wedding a year-and-a-half earlier, so we already knew the Karlin clan and the lay of the land at Rockleigh, but every wedding is unique and this one was no exception! One of my favorite parts was that groom, Michael, is a University of Michigan alum like me so much of the night there were school references and the occasional fight song, which was certainly an added bonus! The couple had a great night and I don't think the smiles were knocked off their faces until they were fast asleep!

Marisa & Andrew; The Metropolitan Building in Long Island City

If you want a fun and quirky space for your wedding day with amazing views of Manhattan as an added bonus, then the Metropolitan Building in Long Island City might just be the place for you! Marisa and Andrew got married there on a Thursday in March and had the time of their lives! The Jewish wedding started with a bedekken and ketubah signing before an intimate ceremony under the Chuppah amongst family and friends.  After that, it was mostly party time, with one of the most fun and LONGEST horas we have ever filmed! Tim Alan Smith loves filming the hora, especially when it never stops!

Sinead & Christopher, St. Patrick's Cathedral and The Palace, NYC

Tim Alan Smith has often filmed weddings at St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC over the years and it's always an exciting time. One of the most historic churches in NYC and the world makes for great video and a memorable wedding day, especially when all the tourists line the back of the church with cameras to take photos of the bride and groom!  When filming at St. Patrick's, there are many rules we have to follow in order to be there, which sometimes makes it difficult, but we know all the tricks to make the video great! Here is a wedding video recap at St. Patrick's followed by a reception at the New York Palace, a short walk away.  Photographer Erik Freeland did an amazing job capturing the day as well and is one of TAS's favorites!

TAS the featured expert in national issue of the Bridal Guide!

Recently I was interviewed for an article in the national wedding magazine, Bridal Guide, on searching for photographers and videographers. While I have been interviewed often for wedding magazines, it's always nice to see it when it hits the newsstand and hope that the advice might help brides near and far!

New York Magazine Wedding Event

Tim Alan Smith attended the New York Magazine Wedding Event last night at the Metropolitan Pavilion in NYC! We have filmed weddings there before so it's always fun to attend a wedding show there too. I had some of films playing at the table of Kim Pilson, owner of the Wedding Sitter, a day-of wedding planning service. Kim and I have worked on many weddings over the years including one at the Metropolitan Pavilion! I have attached a photo of my October 8, 2011 Bride, Kerri-Lynn, who has also just started a wedding planning business, Stella Day Events! In addition to Kerri-Lynn, I caught up with many others in the NYC wedding business including photographers Alex Z, Kelly Guenther, Karen Wise and Stephen Grande of W Studios in addition to my favorite DJ Jason Fioto from Generation Events and Nancy and her band, 747 Orchestra. What a great evening of NYC wedding fun!

The value of YOUR wedding video: The bride's mother writes in!

"Dear Tim,

My family would love to thank you for the amazingly professional and
artistic job you did for our
daughter's wedding on October 22nd at the Harvard Club.

When BG suggested we have a videographer we were at the end of our "must
haves" for the wedding.
We honestly thought that all we needed was a photographer. BG gently
suggested that since we had
come this far...the videographer would be the one thing we just might be
the most thankful for. By this time
I had come to COMPLETELY trust his judgement...but, talking my husband
into that next "must have" was a bit
of a challenge. He had hit his "Steve Martin" moment. As I type this to
you...the most important memory we have
of the wedding is your video and EVERYONE has seen it. I really don't
even think of sending anyone the pictures...
I want them to see the video. The video captured the day, captured the
love and the comfortable union between
Ashley and John that a still picture could not freeze in time. Your
video captured it all.

You are incredibly thorough and managed to pull together the moments of
this wonderful day.
Because of you, we get to revisit that day, those moments, that
sentiment, that life and love.

Thank you...your work may be more important than you realize.

Best,
Elizabeth B.
(mom of the bride!!)

John & Ashley, The Harvard Club; NYC

A beautiful fall day was the backdrop for John and Ashley's wedding at historic St. Thomas Church on 5th Avenue in Manhattan. After the ceremony the couple headed over to the Harvard Club for an evening of revelry. The Harvard Club is an amazing space for a NYC Wedding! Click here to watch the TAS signature recap of their amazing day!

Cycle for Survival, A cancer charity event for Memorial Sloan Kettering

For the past two years Tim Alan Smith's NYC corporate video company- Avenue 5 Films- has filmed the charity event "Cycle for Survival" at various Equinox Gyms in Manhattan and Long Island. The event is a fantastic fundraiser to help cure rare cancers in which people create teams of spinners to raise money to fight cancer through Memorial Sloan-Kettering. Here is an excerpt from the website about what it's all about and why you should consider signing up for the 2013 event!

2011 Cycle for Survival, the fastest growing national, indoor relay-style team cycling event in support of rare cancer research. "Co-founded in 2007 by Jennifer Goodman Linn and her husband, Dave, Cycle for Survival is the national, indoor relay-style team cycling event that has raised more than $9 million in support of lifesaving research on rare cancers at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and in the past five years has funded twenty-five clinical trials and research studies.

Cycle creates an opportunity for each of us to truly make a difference — every dollar raised by Cycle goes directly to Memorial Sloan-Kettering for research on rare cancers, paving the way for new, more effective treatment options.

Cycle is one of the world's fastest-growing athletic fundraising events. Cycle 2012 will be the biggest ride to date with over 10,000 cyclers from across the country teaming up with friends, family and coworkers in New York City, Chicago, Long Island, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington, DC and at satellite events worldwide!

Join the movement that brings hope to lives touched by rare cancers. Register or join a team today or make a gift to Cycle. No one beats cancer until we all beat cancer. Together, we can make a difference!"

E-Harmony Parody- funny stuff!

Our slogan is about fun weddings, so naturally we attract fun couples! One such couple who met on E-Harmony decided to do a parody of the E-Harmony commercials to show their own person story. Since we were filming their wedding, they asked if this was something we could do so of course we said yes. Check it out!

Michelle and Manish; Church of the Blessed Sacrament and The Surf Club

Michelle and Manish were all about two things: fun and rock and roll! They knew that they wanted to have a fun wedding and they planned accordingly with a reception theme of rock and roll. They started off getting ready in separate places before the ceremony at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament on west 71st street, which was very sweet and emotional. The couple then took photos around Manhattan before heading north to New Rochelle and the Surf Club, where they partied the night away! Click on this link to see their video! NYC Wedding videographer Tim Alan Smith had a great night documenting the fun day and can't wait to get more FUN weddings like this in 2012!

Tim Alan Smith goes to Charleston, SC for InFocus Video Conference

In theory, I went to Charleston, SC recently for an amazing video conference called Infocus, where wedding filmmakers from around the world gather to share ideas, techniques and learn about the newest technology. After being there for an hour or so, though, I realized the trip would be about the food! If you have never been to Charleston, run, don't walk to book a trip! We sampled some amazing restaurants including Halls Chophouse on my birthday which I can say without lying was the best meal of my life! We also tried Gourmet Magazine's best new American restaurant of 2011 called Husk, also an amazing spot.

In addition to the food, we stepped back and enjoyed the history of the town including it's importance during the Civil war, it's amazing mansions downtown and a horse and buggy tour of the main area. I was having so much fun doing touristy things that the conference became an afterthought until it actually started! I've been re-energized for 2012 with fresh ideas and new friends that will help my business grow and continue to give my client's the best product we can possibly produce! Look forward to sharing some of our new ideas learned from the conference with you on this blog!

Aly and Joe; The Metropolitan Building, NYC

Aly and Joe had a very touching ceremony and day, as love was truly in the air. The couple got married at the Metropolitan Building in Long Island City, a popular location as of late. They were our last wedding of 2011 and our first wedding of 2012 will also be at the Metropolitan Building! It's a great space if you like your wedding to be a little bit unique and different and also have amazing views of Manhattan! Click here to view their recap!

Tim Alan Smith named "Bride's Choice" for NYC Video via Wedding Wire!

Weddings, Wedding Venues
2012 Bride's Choice Awards | Best Wedding Photographers, Wedding Dresses, Wedding Cakes, Wedding Florists, Wedding Planners

We are pleased to announce we were recently selected by Wedding Wire Bride's in their annual review of NYC wedding vendors as "Bride's Choice". Bride's Choice Award winners are the top 5% of wedding vendors as chosen directly by brides so Tim Alan Smith Videography could not be happier for the recognition! Thanks to all our great clients who have given us great weddings to film and who have written beautiful things about us on wedding wire!

Jennifer & Adam; Brooklyn Botanic Gardens

Jennifer and Adam had a beautiful November day for their NYC wedding! Jennifer got ready at the Thompson Hotel in SoHo while Adam and his friends got ready in their apartment before making a quick stop in Times Square for some video and a quick hot dog! The couple saw each other for the first time at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and the rest of the night were lost in each other. One of the most interesting parts of the wedding was when the Rabbi didn't show up! Well, he actually came a bit later as he thought the wedding was at the New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx! A family friend did the service with the Rabbi pinch-hitting during cocktail hour to lead a beautiful yet impromptu ceremony for the bride and groom! The couple enjoyed every moment- even the unscripted- and had a wedding night they won't soon forget! Tim Alan Smith Videography was there to capture every moment! Click here to check out their recap!
