Danielle & David; March 7; Gary's Loft: NYC

Tim Alan Smith had never filmed at Gary’s Loft before the evening of Danielle and David’s Wedding on March 7. The space was intimate but beautifully laid out and decorated. The ceremony was held under the Chuppah in candle-lit room. Danielle glided down the grand staircase to the left of the Chuppah where her waiting parents escorted her to David. Ryan Kaplan officiated a beautiful ceremony with the wedding party and parents standing close by. More guests joined after the nuptials for an extended cocktail hour, with delicious food provided by Ben from Smart Catering. The cocktail party last all night with some toasts, a special song from Danielle’s cousins, a mini-cupcake cake cutting and lots and lots of dancing mixed in!

ISES (International Special Events Society) Northeast Regional Conference; Marriott Downtown; NYC: March 7-9

Tim Alan Smith corporate and event video company for NYC- Avenue 5 Films- captured a weekend of ISES learning and fun at the Marriott Downtown and Arena Nightclub on 41st street. ISES is a collection of event professionals that meet to network and learn monthly at their local chapters. The ISES New York Metro chapter hosted chapters from Virginia to New England for the yearly northeast regional conference, and Avenue 5 Films was one of the sponsors of the weekend. Avenue 5 Films videographer Adam Rodriguez captured most of the action of the three day event while I networked, learned and had a pretty good time. I also edited footage continually throughout the weekend in order to put together the video below to show at the closing keynote panel and lunch on March 9. The video even included a few early shots of that lunch, which was a surprise to many who watched it! Same-Day-Edits are available for both weddings and corporate events. Please inquire if interested in learning more.

Jamie's Bar Mitzvah; February 28; Temple Emanu El & Arena Nightclub; NYC

Tim Alan Smith had fun filming Jamie's NYC Bar Mitzvah a few weeks ago at Temple Emanu El followed by the party at Arena nightclub in midtown. The kids had lots of energy and kept the dance floor hopping the whole night with music from Total Entertainment. The dancing only stopped for breaks for food from Mary Giuliani catering, which was delicious and photos from NYC photographer, Gustavo Campos. Jamie wowed his guests with his guitar work while toasts by family and friends were a nice cap to the evening.

A Special Night: A wedding and 50th Anniversary all in one! The Hyatt, Jersey City.

Last month, Tim Alan Smith had the privilege of being involved with the wedding and rehearsal dinner of Beth and Danny. What made this wedding even more special than most is that February 21 also happened to be the 50th anniversary of Beth’s parents! Beth planned a surprise anniversary party/rehearsal dinner the night before at the Hyatt in Jersey City, where the wedding was also held. She set up a table that held her parents wedding day photo, champagne from their wedding and a cake with their original cake-topper! Tim Alan Smith put together a slideshow for the 50th anniversary with photos from throughout their lives as well as 50’s music from Connnie Francis and Frankie Valli! Ben, a photographer from Weddings By Two, was there to capture both nights as well. A big hit at the wedding in addition to the special anniversary dance for the parents, was a photobooth set up by Weddings By Two where guests could take their own candid photos and bring them home as a keepsake! (Me above with Ben and the DJ)

Central Park Boathouse; February 7: NYC

Tim Alan Smith arrived at the Central Park Boathouse on February 7 to film Roger & Allison's wedding. The couple and their guests were relaxing at the bar while getting photos from Alex Z, an amazing NYC photographer. After a quick rehearsal and Ketubah signing, guests were ushered in to watch the beautiful ceremony. The Chuppah was breathtaking and Rabbi Richard Davis was very entertaining and did a nice job running the ceremony. Cocktail hour followed with great views of the park and the lake. After introductions and a few toasts, the couple and their family and friends danced the crisp NYC night away.
