Sydney & Tal; June 15: The Lighthouse, NYC

When I arrived at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers on Sunday, Sydney was busy with the finishing touches on her make-up while Tal hung out with his groomsmen in a different part of the space.

After the dress was on and the last wrinkles ironed out, Sydney and Tal saw each other for the first time in a meeting staged by Tim Alan Smith and photographer, Zlatko Batistich.

The couple then walked around the outdoor space of the restaurant for photos and video before taking family and wedding party shots under the Chuppah. The Rabbi, Max, a childhood friend of Tal's and fresh out of Rabbinical school, led the Ketubah signing soon after.

The guests were ushered to their seats for the beautiful ceremony in which the Hudson River and Statue of Liberty were part of the backdrop. After the ceremonial breaking of the glass, the happy couple exited for some time alone before joining their guests for cocktail hour.

Reception highlights included the great music by Sterling Events including Israeli music, the VERY lengthy Horah, toasts and the parent dances. A special dance for all fathers and daughters in attendance to celebrate the fact that it was also father's day was a unique highlight as well. For me, a highlight was reconnecting with former clients Aaron and Bethanee (who had referred me) whose wedding I filmed three years earlier at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
